Do Dogs go to Heaven? Of course they do!!!!!!!!!
The Woodpecker might have to go!
May your troubles be less, may your blessings be more, and may nothing but happiness come through your door.
Don't take life so seriously!
KISS A LOT!
HAVE FUN
AND BE HAPPY!!!!
Make sure you scroll all the way down and read what is written.
Today is International Disturbed People's Day
Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend... just as I've done.
Today is International Disturbed People's Day
Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend... just as I've done.
I don't care if you lick windows, take the special bus or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you're special.
Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back..
Today's message of the day is:
Life is short; break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile.
Send to all the people you care for and don't want to lose in 2011, even me.
Life is short; break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile.
Send to all the people you care for and don't want to lose in 2011, even me.
If you get 3 back, you are a great friend.

We went to Bakers Creek today. Miranda and I went to change the babies diaper and left Robert and Jamie at the Grand Ole Oprey... an open barn that has a wooden stage and hay bales set in it for seating with a large picnic table at outside for seating. As we were walking back music wafted toward us... and I heard a familiar rooster call... he couldn't have ALREADY gotten on stage... no... really...
Oh YES, there was Robert with little brother looking up at him with eyes gleaming and a smile as Robert complemented Ez n Dil with his Famous Rooster Crows during their rendition of Ghost Chickens. Here's what I caught on video:
Now, that wasn't all....
After this set was through, the four children and I went for a walk around Bakersville to see all the changes. Some were subtle and some dramatic. We found out that Gere's grandmother, a wonderful old lady that was such a joy to spend time with, had broken her hip and had been out of commission for quite some time. No more stories in the loft of the mill. Sad... even sadder was that the gal that was at the counter of the mill had NO idea that they had even told stories there. In fact, as we looked around, we could find only one or two staff members that we recognized from when we would vend there. Don't get me wrong, I understand changes will come, but I wasn't expecting such drastic ones and was sad. Those people that we had come to know were all gone as if a great exodus had occurred as Gere and Emily bought two more seed store locations... one in CA and another out east. I had the feeling a bit of growing pains were experienced as now the people that had been there for years were gone - replaced by those that didn't know Gere when he started out and had not 'felt' the history of the place as it grew. That will be something that is lacking, but I'm sure with this season under their collective belts they will be even better than before. :)
The things of old that we loved were the musicians! And they are still there! We can't seem to ever get 'too much' of their blue grass, true country, gospel, and Irish folk music that abound from the various artists. Speaking of which... here is a bit of Jamie Dancing to some of the music from Ez n Dil...
This is the first time that Jamie has seen and heard them play in person since he was less than a year old. He is now 2 yrs 2 mos old. We do have their CD and so he gets to dance to their music fairly frequently. He is definitely our little music man as he will also walk around the house playing his harmonica and bouncing/dancing as he is doing so. He knows he will get a smile out of me every time. :)
The last set of the day was with Ez n Dil and Robert got in there this time again! This time with his harmonica. Thank You! Grandma Pat - yes, it is the one you got him : )
Here he is 'pitching in' during their rendition of "Get off your phone and drive".
well.... looks like our disk space is plum filled up! That means that I can't get one more picture off the camera and into the computer! :(
It will take a few days to a week to clean up that mess! So, for now... just look forward to seeing it. I will post it when I can.
